Mihalisan, took first place in this group after winning all of his matches,
with the exception of a very narrow loss against James Preen. Seventh seed,
James Preen, looks likely to be the only non-US player advancing to the final
group after an impressive run in the group phase. James didn't lose a match
on his way to a second place finish in the group. Tournament newcomer,
Stefani Gress, beat out number 2 seed, Dave Dyer, for the third and final
position to transfer to the final. |
